We are recruiting

RVN required

We are looking for an RVN to join our team of 9 nurses (7 RVNs and 2 SVNs) and 2 ANAs.

We are a friendly independent small animal Veterinary Hospital with a purpose-built surgery and excellent facilities. You will be supported by a team of experienced veterinary nurses, many with emergency and critical care or diploma qualifications.

Your responsibilities will include providing in-patient care and monitoring anaesthesia together with contributing to our popular nurse consultations.

The role could be either part time or full time. We provide an out of hours emergency service for our clients and a small number of other veterinary practices in the area. Overnight out of hours nursing cover, both during the week and weekends, is provided by a dedicated overnight team.

Salary will be dependent on experience. CPD is strongly encouraged and three days CPD is provided although we would welcome and actively support someone studying additional qualifications. RCVS and VDS fees are paid. Holiday allowance is 28 days per year pro rata (including bank holidays).

This will be on a strict rotation drawn up well in advance, but we can be flexible and split shifts over the weekend if needed. We are also looking for occasional locum cover. The successful applicant will also be expected to be part of the bank holiday rota and would need to work a day shift on one or two bank holidays per year.

Salary will be dependent on the share of the rota but is commensurate with experience.
