Our vets are fully qualified to perform all the vaccines and paperwork necessary to complete a passport for your pet.
Current legislation requires that your pet has a microchip and receives a rabies vaccine at least 3 weeks before he/she returns to the country from abroad. A registered official vet needs to complete and stamp the pets passport. The time between rabies vaccine varies from 1 to 3 years, depending on whether the pet is a cat or dog, and the brand of vaccine used.
You will also need to take your pet to a vet 1-5 days before you return to the UK for a tapeworm treatment. This will also be stamped in the passport.
It is your responsibility as the pet owner to ensure your pets passport is in order before you travel. If you are unsure, our vets are very happy to check for you if you pop into the surgery.
For further information, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.
